How to Play Omaha PokerOmaha poker is an exciting variation of poker where each player is dealt 4 cards and they have to make the best poker hand from the other 5 community cards on the table. Each player must use 2 cards from their hand and 3 of the 5 cards from the community. Omaha poker is more complicated than Holdem do to so many more outs and the extra two cards. Before play beings, the player to the left of the dealer must play the small blind and the player to the left of them must play the big blind. Then in Omaha Poker, each player is dealt 4 down cards from left to right. This starts the first round of betting, starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Each player can call, raise, or fold. After all the bets are in, 3 community cards are then dealt face up (the flop) for every player to play from. This begins the next round of betting. Next comes the forth card or the turn following by a round of betting. Finally comes the final fifth card known as the river. This ensues the final round of betting. After all bets are in the player with the best poker hands wins if it comes to a showdown. Sometimes the other players will fold and the winning player does not have to show his or her cards. Omaha Poker takes a lot of practice to perfect. If you have already played holdem then you will have a no trouble picking this game up. It is a fast pace game, where the pots tend to be more juicy than holdem. You can learn more about Omaha Poker at www.omahapokersource.com. Author: Tom H Jones |
